This gorge with its lush vegetation is the backdrop for one of the most picturesque hiking routes throughout Chios. Winding through the foothills in the shadow of Mt Pelinaion, this footpath offers several alternative and shorter routes. At this point the path crosses a river, where the fertile ground has given rise to dense vegetation in what visitors will surely find to be a scene right out of a fairytale.
